Project: UX Research for Dexcom G7+ Application

Project Objective:

The objective of this UX research project was to gather insights and feedback from Dexcom application users, specifically diabetics (Type 1 and 2) and their caregivers, to identify pain points and areas for improvement in the Dexcom G7+ application. The research aimed to help the project team to design and develop an upgraded application that better met the needs and expectations of the users.

The team worked together to conduct the research, analyze the findings, and develop recommendations for improving the Dexcom G7+ application.

Research Approach:

The research approach involved conducting user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather insights and feedback from Dexcom application users. The research focused on identifying user pain points, preferences, and expectations for the application, including customization options, predictive measures, event tracking, historical data logging, integration with fitness data, and tracking of hormones in interstitial fluid. The research followed the STAR management approach, which defined the Situation, Task, Action, and Result of the problem.

Deliverables:

The deliverables for this UX research project included a research report that summarized the findings and recommendations for improving the Dexcom G7+ application. The report included working versions of ideas, graphs, and references in support of the discovery, definition, design, and initial deployment of the upgraded application. The report also provided a review of the research phases and topics in note form and served as a supportive document only. In addition, the report included attachments of user survey results and status update presentations.

Outcome:

The outcome of this UX research project was providing insights and recommendations for improving the Dexcom G7+ application to better meet the needs and expectations of its users. The upgraded application included additional customization options, predictive measures, event tracking, historical data logging, integration with fitness data, and tracking of hormones in interstitial fluid. The application helped users to better manage their diabetes and improve their quality of life.
